CMHA recognizes International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia

This May 17, CMHA Champlain East joins individuals and organizations worldwide to recognize International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOTB).

These challenges can include higher rates of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and suicidal ideation compared to the general population. However, as people around the globe unite to observe a day of solidarity, advocacy, and celebration, it presents an opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals face. These challenges include discrimination, violence, and marginalization.
